Government...
Why does the government depend on volenteers to get things accoplished? I think it's because they don't want to pay money to hire all these people to fix things for them or to help clean the town, and stuff like that. They want to spend there money on stuff for themselves mainly like cars or clothes. Or maybe because some people care for there town.. I DON'T KNOW. But what I do know is alot of people dont care. thank you.

Tara, I do not believe the government does not want to spend money on jobs to help our country. The government could not possibly do every job in this country. There are simply not enough people working for the government to do every job. Also, I believe our taxes would be raised to levels not one of us could afford if the government had to grow to such a large size. If you think about it there are just times when volunteers are needed whether the government has the people and resources to accomplish a job. For example, during times of disaster such as floods there simply is not enough time for the government to get the necessary people and supplies to a specific area and volunteers are needed to fill the gap until further help arrives.
ReplyDeleteI believe we as citizens enjoy many benefits of living in this country which should compel us to volunteer when our country needs us.
*People do care look around you and you will see people doing nice things for others just because. Notice the people delivering Meals on Wheels (volunteers), Mr. Riley, our speech teacher (volunteer), Butch volunteers his time to teach drama, the Jr. Board volunteers their time to come feed and have activities with you.
ReplyDeleteyeah i guess i agree on everything, except Jr. Board because id much rather have my snack box and phone calls than too see them and barely eat anything.....:]
